Surfaces…Surfaces exploration and exploration in BC by Karen Colville
Transparent to opaque sets the mood and tone, use of materials and glazes with paints to an caustic, water colors, mixed mediums and fibers, allow myself to layer shape and imagery creating a sense of depth, “soulful” and creative spirit of life cycle textures of the outdoors and our connection to BC landscapes. The use of en caustic medium adds a sense of mystery and glazes luminosity to a surface. The visitor to the exhibition, will see a variety to the responses of engaging with nature, landscape, and perceptions expressed in a multitude of ways with perspectives.
