The Lunacy Phases is a 5-day physical and imaginative dance-based, creative, thorough self exploration. Pertaining to each individual’s own authentic movement and honouring where they are, and what they have, no matter what their dance background is. No labels. This project is a creative/freestyle based progressive for youth who want to discover their own sensation in freestyle movement as well create in the future. From a dreamy state to puzzling tasks, instructor Simran Sachar will have them shedding old layers and breaking all the rules they thought existed.

There truly is room and space for everyone, but due to CO-VID 19 and the intimate nature of the intensive, we will space these times out as we continue to gain resources, so everyone gets a beautiful experience.

There is a short application process to The Lunacy Phase 2021. This process, is solely for the instructor to understand what your creative and artistic goals are as the next generation of creatives. They want you to be sure of what you are getting yourselves into during this week. The Lunacy Phase welcomes all dance backgrounds and levels, but a deep open-mind, big heart, and creative risks are necessary! Please allow this application to serve as a place where you can dissect your feelings about creation, and where you see yourself in the process. And, let me get to know you a little 🙂
In collaboration with funding from ArtStarts Vancouver, The Lunacy Phase is by donation only. There is no fee attached to the intensive, you pay what you can, and if you do not have the funds that is all fine – you are still welcome if selected. However, if you do not show up without notice to The Lunacy Phase after securing a spot, you will be charged a small cancellation fee as this opportunity is not to be taken for granted and you are taking space from others.
COVID-19 Public Health orders and government guidelines will be strictly adhered to at all times by teachers and students.
