Watercolours on Paper, Canvas and Cotton
About the Artist
The European artists in the 1700’s found it difficult to cope with city life.
To ease their stresses, they started to paint landscapes in watercolour. The medium began to flourish and soon watercolours were hung in galleries alongside oil paintings.
Me too in the 21st century am finding city life stressful, as a result of rapid unplanned growth. Painting nature has become an escape.
I find an inner peace and harmony by painting watercoloured landscapes, just like the earlier artists.
I, however, have extended my watercolours to not just paper, but to watercolours on canvas and fabric.
