A learning and development space prioritizing BIPOC youth under 21 in New Westminster with breaking experience.
This program is a weekly, in person drop in consisting of two main components. The first hour will be a formal lesson covering different fundamentals of Breaking (popularly referred to as breakdancing), the history, the techniques and culture. The second portion is an open practice time where dancers are encouraged to use the space for self-development in dance. They will also be encouraged to collaborate with other attendees in the space or to seek guidance from the onsite mentor. While this program is targeted at BIPOC youth in New Westminster, individuals are invited from surrounding areas.
Dance is an activity that stems from and thrives in community!
