Artist Statement:
This exhibition of recent photography, and is a mix of framed black and white darkroom prints and colour giclee. Through this collection I hope to show the beauty of degradation and change that happens in our built environment, and to capture a moment of silence in a normally noisy city. The main subject of my photography is most often the built environment; I love finding the beauty in the city as things degrade, tarnish, get repaired, or get repurposed. I hope to share the beauty I find in the well-used human habitat. Through these captured moments, I hope to share a quick second of solitude that can be had in the middle of a busy city. Finally, I also hope, with my photography, to share my love for everything analog. All my photos were taken using a variety of old analog equipment, without any digital post-processing.
